Communist China assigned a new officer to manage HK issue, the officer’s “Famous Achievement”: Demolish Church Crosses in China

The China State Council announced that Zhang Xiaoming, the director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, was removed, and he was re-appointed as the deputy director (director-level) of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office in charge of daily work. Xia Baolong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, will also serve as the director of the Hong Kong and Macau Office.

His most famous achievement is the “Zhejiang Forced Cross Demolition Movement”. According to Asia Weekly, at least 229 church crosses in Zhejiang Province were removed from February to the end of July 2015 alone. Throughout the campaign, more than 2,000 Christian church crosses and even entire buildings were demolished, triggering multiple bloodsheds.
