The China Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Immigration Administration issued a joint announcement stating that in view of the rapid spread of the epidemic worldwide, from 00:00 on Saturday, foreigners holding visas and residence permits in China were temporarily suspended from entering China, including APEC business travel cards, port visas, etc. Holding diplomatic and official visas are not affected. China emphasizes that this is a temporary measure of last resort and will be adjusted according to the epidemic situation.
In addition, the China Guangdong Provincial Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters has further strictly controlled overseas import cases, including passengers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. Starting from 6 o’clock on Friday, all entry through the Guangdong port must be tested for nucleic acids, and must be isolated for 14 days for medical observations. The passenger needs to cover all quarantine accommodation and food expenses themselves.
