First Death in Hong Kong 2 days after the Chinese Covid-19 Vaccination

The Wuhan pneumonia vaccine manufactured by Chinese Kexing has an effective rate of only 50.6%. There have been many suspected side effects incidents. It is reported that a 63-year-old man with severe diabetes, less than two days after being vaccinated with Chinese vaccine, was sent to Hong Kong Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment due to severe discomfort. He suffered shock shortly after being sent to the ward and died on the same day. The hospital checked the records and found that he had been vaccinated with Chinese Kexing Vaccine at the Kwun Chung Gymnasium. It has not yet been possible to rule out whether the cause of his death was directly related to the Chinese Kexing Vaccine. The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Department of Health and the Coroner’s Court.

The 63-year-old man with severe diabetes and lung disease surnamed Li, accompanied by a friend, went to the community vaccination center in Kwun Chung to receive the first dose of Chinese Kexing vaccine on February 26. It is reported that the old man did not feel unwell before and after the vaccination and returned to his residence afterwards.
According to reports, the old man was sent to Hong Kong Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment last Saturday (27th Feb) due to severe illness. After receiving treatment in the accident and emergency department, the old man was sent to the ward for observation; afterwards, he developed symptoms of shock. After receiving emergency medical care, he died in the early hours of the 28th Feb 2021.

It is understood that in addition to severe diabetes, the old man also has other chronic diseases such as heart disease, as well as lung diseases. The hospital once suspected that the old man was infected with Wuhan pneumonia, but a rapid test confirmed negative. Afterwards, a medical nurse checked the Clinical Information System (CMS) and found that the old man had been vaccinated with Chinese Kexing vaccine 2 days ago, and the patient died within 24 hours of admission, so he reported to the management according to the procedure and immediately arranged the autopsy and other procedures; and today (2 Day) Report the case to the Coroner’s Court for follow-up.

If this incident is confirmed to be a serious vaccine-related accident, it will be the first in Hong Kong and it is believed that it will be included in the Government’s earlier “Vaccine Protection Fund” which received a funding of 1 billion dollars from the Finance Committee. According to the document, for each serious abnormal death case, the insurance coverage for those over 40 years old and below is 2 million dollars and 2.5 million dollars; the insurance coverage for injuries above 40 years old and below is 2.5 million to 3 million dollars respectively.
