Head of deceased Abby Choi found inside a large soup pot filled with carrot soup. The head is initially considered to be intact.

Abby Choi, a 28-year-old socialite who is now the daughter-in-law of the founder of HONG KONG Tam’s Yunnan Rice Noodles, was found murdered and dismembered inside a village house in Lung Mei Village, Tai Po. The killer, surprisingly, turned out to be her ex-husband entire family, with the suspected motive being the desire to steal her multi-million-dollar family fortune. The case shocked Hong Kong with its brutal murder and financial greed. Choi’s remains were discovered just three days after she went missing, and the investigation involved her troubled relationship with her ex-husband’s family and her wealthy background.

Abby Choi’s Ex-Husband Family

According to sources, Choi’s ex-father-in-law, a former police officer who had previously been accused of rape, was the mastermind behind the murder plan. He had rented the village house in Lung Mei Village earlier this month, but had not purchased any furniture. On Tuesday, Choi was picked up by her ex-husband’s brother, who worked as her personal driver, but was drugged and taken to the village house, where she was killed. Her body was then dismembered using tools such as a meat grinder, electric saw, and knives, with some parts placed in a refrigerator and others cooked in a large pot with carrot soup and discarded.

After receiving a missing persons report, the police began investigating Choi’s ex-husband’s family and suspected they were involved in the case. Three days later, on Friday, the murder and dismemberment case was exposed, and the ex-husband’s parents and brother were arrested on suspicion of murder. The ex-husband, Alex, who was suspected of being involved in the crime, had gone into hiding but was eventually arrested by the Hong Kong Serious Crime Unit personnel in Tung Chung on Saturday afternoon. All four members of Choi’s ex-husband’s family were arrested in connection with the case. Choi’s head, torso, and hands have not been found, but her left and right leg remains were discovered in the refrigerator in the village house.

The police announced the details of the case last night, stating that they had arrested another Chinese woman surnamed Wu, aged 47, in the Tsim Sha Tsui district this afternoon for assisting the criminals. The police believe that she is the mistress of the 65-year-old man who was arrested in the case. She worked at an entertainment venue and had previously met the deceased victim’s ex-husband and became his mistress. Earlier this month, they rented a unit in Lung Mei Village together, and the woman also rented a unit in Tsim Sha Tsui to hide the victim’s ex-husband. The arrested woman is currently under investigation, and the police are still investigating whether she had knowledge of the case. The police believe that all those involved in the case have been arrested.

According to reports, the arrested mistress worked at a massage parlor in Sham Shui Po and met the ex-husband a few months ago. In mid-February, she rented a unit in West Kowloon for a monthly rent of over HK$40,000 to hide the victim’s ex-husband. It is estimated that the ex-husband had already known about his father’s extramarital affair. Today, the police went to the mistress’s workplace to look for her, but she was not there. After questioning her colleagues, they located her in the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and arrested her.

At 11 pm tonight, the arrested woman was taken to the Rich View Mansion at 365-367 Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay for a search. She was blindfolded and handcuffed and escorted by female police officers. They stayed for about 15 minutes and left without taking any evidence.
