Pro-China Taiwan national presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu: Muhammad is illiterate, conflict will not stop, we have to think about how to avoid getting involved or benefit from that

Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported yesterday (8 Jan 2020) that Iran launched an attack on Iraqi US military base. In response to the US-Iraq conflict and Iran’s latest situation, the Security Council of Taiwan also held a meeting. KMT presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu said he believes there will be no World War III, but he believes that the conflicts will never stop. He further stated, “The founder of Islam, Muhammad, is illiterate. Islam will not compromise.”

In an interview with a TV program today, Han Kuo-yu said the situation in the entire middle East has been chaotic for 1500 years, the situation have been the involvement of different countries and different forces. Nowadays, the countries are the United States and Iran.

Han Kuo-yu pointed out that although these conflicts are far away from Taiwan, they will have an impact on Taiwan. For example, the price of oil may skyrocket; most of Taiwan’s energy are imported. The Taiwan government must need to consider whether the people in Taiwan can afford oil.

As for whether there will be a third world war? Han Kuo-yu said he did not think so, because if the situation reaches the scale of World War, at least three of the five permanent members of the United Nations must join. No country dares to start today because of the scale of nuclear weapons that the earth cannot afford. But the situation will affect Taiwan.

Han Kuo-yu also said, “Muhammad is illiterate, but he wrote the Koran. Islam will not compromise, so the war or conflict will not stop. We have to think about how to avoid getting involved or benefit from that.”
